Paola SUÁREZ is a professor at the National University of Mexico. She is a Ph.D. candidate at the Center for Research and High Studies on Social Anthropology (CIESAS, México), and she obtained a degree in Social Anthropology (MSc). During her Ph.D., Paola Suárez has been a Visiting Scholar at the Institute of Governmental Studies (IGS) of the University of California in Berkeley. In her research, Paola Suárez focuses on the effects of the convergence of local government law and migration policies, crimmigration, and cultural studies of the US-Mexico border.
